Build Citations like a Pro in 5 Minutes

You only need to remember 3 things

#1 A citation is just a listing: If you’re new to the word, that’s all you’re working with. If you can create a profile for your business on a website and click submit, you know everything you need to know.

Start at the top of the “Add business link” column. Click on each link, and fill out all the information for your business on the page you’re taken to by the link. Once you’ve submitted, you’ve built a citation.

#2 Accuracy matters: Fill out as much as you can, but make sure that it’s all accurate. Some directories are special “aggregates” that send out their information to a bunch of other directories. Bad information could be recognized as a competing listing that will now appear next to your work.

If this happens to you, you should ask us about our citation cleaning services. It could take professionals to get this under control.

#3 You’re never done: If you want to do this right, you need to be constantly building citations. It may take you a while to do these, but this is still only enough to get you started on a real strategy.

If you don’t want to commit to constantly locating and building for new directories, you should check out some of our affordable citation building packages. We’re constantly developing new directories and new types of citations to fit the needs of our clients in every industry.
