Can you build links to ANY page?
Journalists prefer to link to web pages that offer legitimately useful information.
They can be promotional service pages, however, non-promotional blog/resource pages are always preferred, and necessary as a secondary suggested target URL.
It’s also not uncommon for writers to link to homepages, and that is often their preference.
If you’re concerned about whether or not a specific URL would be accepted by sites we work with, contact us to discuss before you order.
Can I choose my own anchor text?
No, and we don’t ask for it. Writers and publishers aren’t interested in your anchor text — they’ll use whatever is most relevant and natural.
Can I review the content before it goes live?
This is a high touch point process, where we are very much at the mercy of another team’s well-established, strict editorial requirements and processes. It does not serve anyone to create challenges for writers and editors. We respect their guidelines and do not take any creative liberties.
Do I get to see the links first?
You will be able to review the domains you’ll receive your links from ahead of time, so you can approve or reject them as you see fit.
However, we typically won’t be able to show you the content before it’s published. Journalists and editors tend to work very quickly, and we don’t stand in the way of their process once things are in motion. This also leads to more natural links for you or your client.
What questions will I be asked in onboarding?
In order to secure links that will meet your expectations and help you reach your goals, we’ll need to ask you a number of questions during onboarding. We’ll ask you about:
- Your industry expertise
- Whether you’d like us to avoid any specific topics when pitching you to publications
- Who we can attribute any quotes to
- If there are any websites you already have links from that you’re particularly proud of
- If there are any domains you’d prefer us to avoid
The questionnaire only takes approximately 10 minutes to complete.
Who writes the content?
Journalists or writers who work for the publications we pitch to will write the articles you’re featured in.
We also have our own talented writers who will put together expert quotes and insights on your behalf, based on the information we collect via your onboarding questionnaire. These can then be sent for inclusion in the writers’ articles.
How long will it take?
Turnaround is usually 1 month. We could do it faster if we cut corners, but that’s not what you’re here for.
Can I cancel my subscription anytime?
Yes, you can cancel your subscription at any time. However, we operate with a 30-day cancellation period. Same-day cancellations will be fully refunded without fulfillment.
